LOAD TESTS

Main information

We offer comprehensive load testing of engineering structures: road bridges as well as railway bridges. Our company provides load testing, implementation and a report drawn up after testing. We perform static and dynamic loads depending on the client’s needs and order.

Load tests are executed to verify the theoretical calculation model. Therefore, we undertake theoretical analysis for adopted loads and compare the results with outcomes from load tests.

We have at our disposal apparatus for measuring:

  • Deflections: precise leveling, mechanical indicators, inductive sensors;
  • Settlement of supports: precise leveling;
  • Settlement of bearings: mechanical indicators;
  • Strain: strain gauges (construction), mechanical extensometers (hangers);
  • Acceleration of the construction: accelerometers;
  • Hanger’s tension: accelerometers.
Description of load tests

For each tested object we create a calculation model based on technical documentation received from the purchaser. Loads are applied to the calculation model according to its specification in the most neuralgic area. In static load tests, after installing the instrumentation, the loads are placed in a specific area chosen by the contractor. During the dynamic tests, pace and the exact direction of moving loads (vehicles) are determined. In the end we compare the tests and analytical results and draw up conclusions concerning the way the construction works. Below are representative examples of objects tested by our company.
