Embankments protection under the S7 road

The main task of this project was to find the way to strengthen existing embankments for the designed S7 road crossing those embankments. An additional problem was to do this without disturbance of its soils and without losing its watertightness. To achieve those goals, sheet pile walls at both sides of the embankments were designed with girt at the top of the sheet pile walls, which provided force distribution to carrying soils.
